I may as well start off the posting in this section then.

Are there any other Skyline owners from the UK that are now living here in Sweden apart from me ?

If so, who are you and where are you from :?:

Shaun.

Shaun, how will you ever learn swedish if you insist on writing english?

Just kidding, good thinking. This part of the forum is not so big yet (actually nothing at all yet), but we hope it will be more useful later on, when Skyline interested are seeking knowledge (or spreading da word) on our forum but are more comfortable with the english language. :D

Cheers
Håkan

Hej Hakan (English keboard so I can't even spell your name right :()

He he, I am never going to hear the end of me learning Swedish am I, I already get enough abuse from Perra on the subject as it is :D rest assured though that as soon as I have my 4 digit personal number I am a full time student on the Swedish course in Hedemora and when that happens you guy's are going to have a great time laughing at my Swedish  :D !!

Great idea for this section though, I am sure it will get used more as and when people from the UK etc. are hopefully going to be visiting Sweden and will be after information on 'the scene' in Scandinavia.

I will spread the word over on gtr.co.uk and hopefully get more posts in here ;)

Cheers
Shaun.
(p.s. as long as I can get my Swedish as good as you guys English is I won't have any trouble living in Sweden, It'll take me some time though but I will get there in the end ;) )

Hi.

I'm English, moved to Sweden from the UK in 1987, moved back to the UK in 2000 (learnt to speak Swedish quite fluent in those 13 years) and then moved to the South of France in 2005 where I am now. Can't speak a lot of French, but just love the wine, cheese, climate, skiing, culture and loads more. Sweden was just a bit too cold for me.

Once you've got those 4 last digits added to your date of birth, you really do become a number and not a person, at least that is how I felt. Every phone call I ever made to any kind of authority (even the library), would ask for this number. So, in the end I got fed up and read the number as just one sequence format, so I wouldn't say 13-11-67-****, but I would say 131167**** as one number. Try it sometime, it's great fun when the person on the other end of the telephone can't work it out and will incist that you say it in the correct format :)

Anyway, good luck in Sweden and good luck with your Skyline. I have made some good contacts through this forum and have to say that it is one of the best!

Kind regards.

Kent.
